Quarantine Family Party Ideas

Writer: Kurt DaKurt Da

It’s been quite a few months into quarantine and you might think we’d all be bored to death by now if the virus doesn’t get to us first, but in some absurd way people have now adapted to the quarantine and enjoy get-togethers at home with the family and you know—why not? If it’s just you and the family that you have spent most of your quarantine with, where’s the harm right? Here are some fun quarantine party ideas you can do at home:

Backyard Grill Party. My uncles and brothers like to do this including me. We do this almost every weekend at my lolo’s place along with my cousins and titas. It’s basically just the family gathering around for grilled burgers, sausages, and other meats. My favorite is my tito’s homemade beef patty and baby back ribs with his homemade sauce. It’s a relaxing and fun way to bond with family and food.

Family Games and Challenges. Even before quarantine, my siblings and I host a simple family game of charades or eating challenges at home on weekday nights. So it would make more sense that now during quarantine we would be doing it more often. It’s always fun times with the family despite the small friendly arguments that may ensue especially when your older sister is a big fat cheater like mine.

DIY Meal Kits. This is a new found activity my siblings and my mom just discovered. Apparently, there are DIY meal kits now in Davao. We especially love both variants of pizza kits at Malagos Homegrown Produce and made loads of fun unboxing and assembling the pizza. There’s also the sandwich kit, the burger kit, the salad kit, and microwaveable kits! Just buy 5 kits and it’s a party!

There are loads of party meal kits for sale. With a lot of options for meal kits in Davao, I’m sure you’ll find one that fits to your preference and are affordable meals for your party. If you want to try out a few, Malagos Garden Resort food is available in meal kit versions. You can purchase online and have them delivered to you through Malagos Homegrown Produce.
