When the city moved from GCQ to MGCQ last July, I had just one thing in my mind then: Perfect! I’ll be able to prepare for our anniversary. It was really something I worried about for months and I know that it’s not really that important for some because it’s not like we’re celebrating our golden anniversary or what. It’s just our first anniversary, but since it’s my first I really wanted it to be special. But with all the quarantine measures, I really thought I won’t be able to pull it off. Luckily, the city is now on MGCQ.
This trip was a surprise to my girlfriend. I told her that we were just going to check out the property that my parents wanted to buy for our business. I even pleaded for her to take her leave and she got a little annoyed that she had to accompany me on that trip. It was kind of a dumb excuse but I didn’t know what else could seem so important for her to join me. Anyway, she finally agreed and so we went on our trip. I told her it was in Davao Oriental so she expected a long drive and fell asleep. When she woke up, we were already near this romantic beach resort in Davao Oriental. I actually found out about it through my friend who’s been there already. He recommended this beach resort for couples because as he said, the staff can accommodate special dinner arrangements. And it’s less crowded so you and your partner can enjoy some quality time together.
We finally arrived at the place around lunch and it seemed like I was the one who was more surprised by the beautiful place. I saw it in the pictures but seeing in person makes it even more beautiful. My girlfriend was really happy and she thanked me for the surprise plan. We went snorkelling and enjoyed the fresh seafood that they have. We also just relaxed by this bar that they have which gave us that Boracay and Bali vibe, because it’s directly facing the beach. I must say the dinner arrangement was exceptional and this is indeed the best place to celebrate special occasions like anniversaries, or even some family gatherings.
