Travelers around the world have endured the disappointment and sorrow of not being able to fly through this pandemic. Some people have scheduled epic journeys that are now postponed forever, and others are nervous whether or not they're going to be able to go somewhere this year.
If one thing is for sure, globetrotters from all walks of life grieve the opportunity to fly and discover both familiar and unfamiliar destinations. But in fact, it’s not only going around and across the globe that we terribly miss. Actually, we miss things that are even closer to us. With the strict enforcement of consecutive EOs in Davao City, can we ever still fulfill the dream of exploring our beloved hometown again? One of the places we fondly look back to is Malagos Garden Resort. The place has been around since we were little (hello 90s kids), and from being our go-to field trip destinations, there are tons of other things we miss about the resort. Here are some of them:
Malagos Bird Show - The show is a complete symphony of cinematic musical score and sound effects, dramatic stage design, educational script, and a showcase of talents by both birds and handlers - taking your five sensory experience to an unforgettable edutaining performance.
Chocolate Museum - The very first of its kind in the Philippines, the Malagos Chocolate Museum opened its doors in 2017 with a vision of taking guests to a complete tree-to-bar experience. Equipped with educational modules and state-of-the art installations, the museum showcases the process and the people behind the success of an award-winning chocolate bar, and the importance of keeping the Philippines in the chocolate map of the world.
Petting Zoo - a Davao nature park that’s home to a variety of domesticated animals is sure to feature one of the classic children favorites: The Petting Zoo. Here we can get up-close and personal with miniature horses, goats, rabbits, chickens and more as they learn about their importance in the ecosystem.
The Villas - Nestled in a grove of pine trees is a piece of paradise where comfort meets nature. Malagos Villas provide you the kind of retreat that is rustic and elegantly refined. Featuring wide glass windows, cozy interiors and private verandas, guests may enjoy the best of indoor-outdoor living in a sanctuary that seamlessly blends with the comforts of nature.
Weekend Buffets - Being one of the best buffets in Davao, Malagos lunch buffets are a trove of culinary specialties that perfectly capture the Malagos homegrown flavor. Try the Malagos Chocolate Humba or Kaldereta with Farmhouse Cheese, and cap off your meal with pastries at the Fondue bar - which will surely captivate your taste buds.
We sure do hope we can have more health and wellness resorts in Davao like Malagos. Curious about when they will reopen? Check them out at malagos.com now!
