Malagos Homegrown Produce Testimonial#5

Farmers encounter various challenges every day. We have to deal with transportation problems and pests that ruin our crops and ultimately, our livelihood. Now, with almost everyone on enhanced community quarantine, the challenges in logistics only proved to be more challenging. Receiving assistance from the government can help us sustain our households, but we can't count on this assistance for our survival.

One of the greatest blessings we have as farmers in the Malagos Farm is our supportive community. The people that live around our district know that they have relatively easier access to fresh fruits and vegetables because they live near our farms. The season also has its advantages—with Good Friday 2020 just around the corner, people are cutting down on meats and eating more plant-based produce.

Having access to the Internet is also a good advantage. We can sell our goods online directly to our consumers within Davao City. We can offer deliveries for customers that order in bulk. This practice may have created more middlemen in communities that are far from our farms. But, understandably, gaining access to Malagos homegrown vegetables that is clean and safe is now essential. To those who are interested, our produce is available online at the Malagos Homegrown Produce.

People should support their local farmers whether we are in a global crisis or not. Knowing where to buy organic produce grown in season and organic conditions helps you be certain that what you're buying is not only clean, it is also full of nutrients which can help you and your family be healthier. This kind of partnership is mutually beneficial.

We are all hoping that this pandemic will end soon and that we will continue doing our part to flatten the curve. While we're staying at home, one good way to stay healthy is to eat healthily. Don't just stock up on canned goods and processed products as the preservatives can be bad for your health in the long run. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables from your local farmers.

Being able to sell online and helping people stay healthy while staying at home makes our work worth every effort. This enables us to help our community while our community helps us equally in return.
